Strategic Environmental Assessment

General Information

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is a forward-looking approach that integrates environmental and social considerations into policies, plans, and programs (PPPs) before decisions are made. SEA helps governments, practitioners, and communities evaluate long-term risks and opportunities, compare alternatives, and support more transparent, informed, and equitable decision-making.
