Description

This diploma program is available to undergraduate students at the University of Waterloo. It requires the completion of three core courses and two elective courses as part of their degree (5 one-term courses as part of a 40 course, 4-year full-time degree program). Topics include EA principles, law and administration. An examination of biophysical and social economic impact assessment methods is provided. Emerging opportunities and initiatives in broader applications of EA - such as needs assessment and demand management; strategic applications in land use planning, policies and programs; and sustainability assessment - are also explored.
