TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

IAIA RECOGNIZES THAT THE TRAINING OF IA PROFESSIONALS IS A KEY TO EFFECTIVE IMPACT ASSESSMENTS.

Through its Training and Professional Development Committee, IAIA provides members and non-members with access to training courses (both in person and online), webinars, and training manuals to promote and support IA capacity building.

See this page for additional information about each of our Training Program offerings as well as our Training Calendar.

<Professional Development Program (PDP)

IAIA’s Professional Development Program (PDP) provides online training in project-based impact assessment and related studies. The training is designed to support individuals involved in carrying out studies, reviewing those studies, or otherwise participating in assessing the impacts of projects while the projects are being considered for approval. PDP courses are trainer-supported, meaning that each course participant works one-on-one with an experienced trainer using online communication tools. IAIA's PDP is open to both members and non-members.

<Online Training Courses (OTC)

In an effort to provide more online, interactive training opportunities, IAIA is proud to debut its new Online Training Courses (OTC). These courses will be held over multiple sessions for a 1-3 week period of time and will have small class sizes to encourage participation among participants as well as with the instructor. Topics will cover a wide variety of impact assessment areas, as well as options for foundation, intermediate, and advanced level content.

<Webinars

IAIA shares the expertise of its members through a series of webinars throughout the year.  These webinars are live events, often with interactive Q&A sections for attendee involvement.  Recordings of past webinars are also available on demand, with archived webinars dating back to 2015.
