IAIA's guide on air quality and impact assessment is increasingly being used around the world as the primary supplementary guide for air quality assessments, in addition to local, jurisdictional guides.  Our presenter, Franco DiGiovanni, is co-author of "Guiding Principles for Air Quality Assessment Components of Environmental Impact Assessments." He takes listeners through the guide, step-by-step. Participants will learn the basic steps required in any air quality impact assessment as well as the warning signs of incomplete/unacceptable assessments. Franco also highlights particular areas of common fault, where extra care is required.

This webinar is targeted to all personnel who are involved in, or affected by, air quality impact assessments in ESIAs, including technical professionals and governmental reviewers, managers and EH&S staff.

Franco DiGiovanni has an Undergraduate degree in Geology (Royal School of Mines, Imperial College) and a PhD (University of Hull) in Dispersion Modelling.  He completed a Postdoctorate at the University of Guelph and held an NSERC Visiting Fellowship at Environment Canada.  He has worked for 25 years in regulatory air quality impact assessment in Ontario, across Canada, and around the world.
