Anyone can nominate a company, client, or colleague for an award! IAIA has seven award categories, only two of which require the recipient be an IAIA member -- all other categories are open to everyone (members and non-members alike).
It is an honor for IAIA to present awards and recognize the hard work and diligent acts that promote awareness and best practice in the field of impact assessment. Please help us by nominating a person or an entity that you feel is dedicated to excellence.

Foundations of impact assessment: 12-week online course offered
IAIA's 12-week Professional Development Program (PDP) "Foundations of impact assessment" online course will be held from 26 September through 16 December 2022. Participants start and complete the course within this period according to the schedule they arrange with their trainer. Registration is open now through 12 September 2022, and seats are limited.
IAIA23: Abstract submission opens 5 September
IAIA23, “Resilience through impact assessment and leadership,” will be held 8-11 May 2023 in Kuching, Malaysia. Abstract submission will be open 5 September through 7 November. IAIA23 will offer more than 50 session topics, so there is something for everyone!

Africa getting just 12% of financing needed to adapt to climate change: Report
Around $250 billion is needed annually to help African countries move to greener technologies and adapt to the effects of climate change, yet funding in 2020 was just $29.5 billion, according to a report by the Climate Policy Initiative. Wealthy countries have faced growing criticism for failing to meet a pledge made in 2009 to provide $100 billion annually to help poorer countries and the issue is likely to be central to discussions at the COP27 climate talks in Egypt this November
